Killer Design

After watching way too many crime shows, it becomes difficult to look at the objects around you in the same way. A little bit of a dark thought I know, but if you’re the kind of person who follows your grandmother’s advice and makes sure to wear clean underwear in case you get run over by a bus, you might want to carefully curate the objects around you; after all, ‘death by Mezzadro’ has a better ring to it than ‘death by Ivar’.

Blunt Force Trauma
If you’re going to be on the business end of a table lamp, it should probably be coming from Carrara (and wonderfully designed by the good folks at Rich Brilliant Willing).

Suffocation
Plastic bag? I think not. Un peu de raffinement s’il vous plaĆ®t! This drawstring pendant lamp by Design Stories and Returhuset should be the perfect weapon of opportunity.

Stabbing/Impalement
What a way to go... in a beautiful burst of sharp things. I’ll bet this is how Louis XIV imagined it.

Strangulation
Simple but efficient, if this pendant lamp by Nicolo Barlera is starting to look a little straight-to-the-point you might want to take that next season of ‘Law and Order’ or ‘Forensic Detectives’ off your Netflix queue.

Electrocution
This thing has ‘hazard’ written all over it… No need to throw Thomas Thwaites’ homemade toaster in the tub for hair-raising effects.

A quick shot
Poison, potassium overdose, air bubble, whatever the content this glass collection by Cristina Celestino is one stylish delivery system.

Exotic plant poisoning
A more ‘revengeful-native-of-the-Amazon’ way to do someone in might be to find an exotic and very poisonous plant to use as a lampshade... It’s got a definite James Bond girl ‘beautiful-but-deadly’ quality to it.

Finger death-trap
Filled with concrete you'll be sleeping with the fishes… in style.

We have ways to make you talk…
For a torture chamber, this is definitely not an eye sore.

Body Bag
LV of course.
